Disney recently put up on their website that the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party is now open for reservations exclusively to ticket-holders of the 2023 Oogie Boogie Bash at Disney California Adventure Park. Here’s everything you need to know about this dining event in case you’re interested in booking.
Reservations Made Easy for Disney Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party
To reserve your spot, you must hold both a valid event ticket and a park reservation for the same date as your dessert party reservation. The reservations can be conveniently made online via Disney’s official website or through the user-friendly Disneyland app. Booking times for this exclusive event are available at 7 pm or 10 pm, allowing you to choose a time that best suits your plans. Sweet Treats and Beverages at the Oogie Boogie Bash
For a cost of $89 per person (ages 3 and older), guests will get the chance to indulge in sweet desserts that capture the spooky season. Price includes tax and gratuity and must be paid in full at time of purchase.
The dining package includes these according to Disney’s website
- Chocolate Mousse Cake
- Pumpkin Bundt Cake
- Cookies & Cream Tart
- Caramel Cheesecake
- Orange Dreamsicle Krispy
- Salted Caramel Macaron
- Gummy Worms
Your dining package also includes unlimited soft drinks, bottled water, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. For guests aged 21 and over, an alcoholic beverage is included. For those guests aged 21 and over, the dining package also offers an extra treat—an alcoholic beverage to complement the magical evening. Make sure you have government-issued identification on you.
Reserved Seating For the Frightfully Fun Parade
As an added bonus, securing a reservation for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party guarantees you a prime reserved seating spot for the spine-tingling Frightfully Fun Parade. Your spot will be located right in front of Sonoma Terrace. Make sure to check in with a cast member at Seaside Souvenirs for your reserved dining event 10 minutes before your reservation time. Disney specifically states on their website that early or late arrivals will not be accommodated so plan accordingly to be on time!
What you need to know about booking for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party
Reservations are available on the following dates for the 2023 Oogie Boogie Bash:
- September: 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24, 26, 28
- October: 1, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 19, 22, 24, 26, 29, 31
If deciding to book for the first available reservation at 7 pm, guests would be watching the first parade after enjoying the 45-minute Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party.
For those with a 10 pm reservation time, this means watching the second parade after enjoying the 30 minute Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party.
My thoughts on The Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party
While securing a viewing spot for the parade isn’t particularly challenging so this isn’t the biggest selling point for someone like myself. But keep in mind that the dining package does offer unlimited beverages (not alcoholic though), treats and seating with chairs and tables which may be important to some guests. So you can decide if you feel it’s worth making a reservation for or not.
Can Same Day Reservations be made for the Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party?
For those who are a bit more spontaneous rather than a planner like myself, same-day reservations may be available. However, please note that this is based on popularity and demand so it’s subject to availability.
Fine Print and Cancellation Policy for Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party 2023
- Children ages 2 and under can attend free of charge if seated on an adult’s lap.
- Cancellations must be made at least a day before the reservation to receive a refund; the same applies to no-shows.
- In the event that the Frightfully Fun Parade is canceled due to technical issues or inclement weather, guests will be refunded only for the Dessert packages if the show is canceled.
Disney reserves the right to update or make changes to their policies on events so make sure to check on Disney’s site!
Celebrate the Halloween Season Disney Style
I understand many of you may not have been able to secure your Oogie Boogie Bash After Dark Tickets this year given the scammers and resellers situation but you can still celebrate the Halloween season in Disney Style!
One way is to visit the Disney Parks starting in September when the Halloween season begins, but be sure to book your tickets on another day that is not celebrating the Oogie Boogie Bash. Otherwise you would have less time in that park as it closes early for those who purchased a ticket for this After Dark Event.
