BREAKING: Disneyland Magic Key Sales are available now to the general public – January 17th, 2023
The wait is over Mouseketeer, as the Disneyland Magic Key is now available for purchase online! Starting today January 17th, 2023 on disneyland.com, it was announced that the Magic Key Pass is BACK and ready for purchase! What better way to start the year than by getting yourself and loved ones the gift of a magic key pass!

NOTE: As of today 2/7/2023 Only the Inspire Key is available for purchase. The Enchant Key and Believe Key are available for renewal only.
Initially the introduction of the Magic Keys (replacing the annual passes) began in August 2021 but due to their popularity and demand it led to sales closing for all tiers. It was only for those Mouseketeers (like myself) who had purchased a Magic Key who were able to renew, leaving many Disney fans upset and disappointed for not knowing when they would get a chance to experience the magic all year round. Sales had stopped for the Magic Key closer to the end of the month of May in 2022. But the great news is that sales have reopened for the general public today!

Not sure which key to purchase? Well the answer is that it depends on a variety of factors. If you are someone that wants to be at Disney during a major holiday without blackout dates then you may want to consider the highest tier which is now called the Inspire Key (previously named the Dream Key).
Since the Magic Key program first started, changes were made in regards to block out dates. This means that even at the highest tier, Disney has now blocked out their busiest dates of the year starting December 21st through January 1st.
If you would like to go to the parks during any of the block out days it would mean purchasing tickets outside of your Magic Key pass. Benefits of having a Magic Key Pass
Disney has revamped its benefits/perks for passholders upon its renewal launch. These include 25% parking discounts for the lowest two tiers, 20% off for Disney Genie+ purchases at any tier, and the highest two tiers being able to take advantage of Photopass digital downloads. What has remained the same is having access to the Magic Key Terrace, gaining access to special photo ops in both parks and merch. Having the Magic Key pass alone is not enough to enter the parks, so make sure that you have made your reservations through their mobile app or online on a computer.
