Disney fans and adventure enthusiasts, rejoice! The iconic Indiana Jones movies have come to Disney Plus, allowing fans to relive the thrilling adventures of everyone’s favorite whip-wielding hero. Unless of course you still have held on to your VHS tapes like myself. But trust me streaming these movies is much faster.
How many movies are there for Indiana Jones and what are they all about?
1. Raiders of the Lost Ark (June 12,1981)
This is the introduction to the beloved Indiana Jones, a fearless archaeologist and adventurer, played by none other than Harrison Ford. The time period is set in 1936, where Dr. Jones seeks out to find the legendary Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the hands of the Nazis. With iconic scenes and a perfect blend of action and humor, “Raiders of the Lost Ark” became an instant classic.
2. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ( May 08,1984)
In this thrilling sequel, Indiana Jones finds himself in a treacherous journey to retrieve the mystical Sankara stone that was stolen from a small Indian village. Indy is joined by his trusty sidekick, Shorty, accidentally a nightclub singer named Willie Scott. Together they embark on a dangerous journey to prevent the release of an ancient evil.
3. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (May 24,1989)
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade combines adventure, history, and family dynamics. Indy teams up with his estranged father, Henry Jones Sr. (played by Sean Connery), in a race against Nazi forces to locate the Holy Grail. This thrilling installment explores the complex relationship between Indy and his father, while delivering captivating action sequences and uncovering hidden secrets.
4. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (May 20, 2008)
After nearly two decades, Indiana Jones returned to the big screen in a new adventure set in the 1950s. Joined by a rebellious young motorcycle enthusiast named Mutt Williams (played by Shia LaBeouf), Indy embarks on a quest to find the mythical Crystal Skull of Akator. In this film there are plenty of dangerous adversaries and supernatural challenges that Indy and his son must overcome.

Alongside this exciting news, Disney has released a variety of posters and trailers for the highly anticipated newest installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny,” set to hit theaters on June 30, 2023.
I grew up watching these movies with my father and I can’t wait to see this new movie alongside him and my other family members. If I could only pick one favorite from the original trilogy I would have to say it is Indiana Jones and the last crusade—it’s epic!
I am hopeful that this latest installment of Indiana Jones will be great given how passionately I heard Harrison Ford speak about his time filming on set at the D23 expo I attended. It made me tear up!
What to Expect from “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny”
“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” is directed by the talented James Mangold. Us fans will get to see the return of the legendary Harrison Ford as the fearless Indiana Jones. We will be following Indy as he embarks on a perilous mission to recover a mythical artifact known as the Dial of Destiny. This artifact possesses the power to alter the fate of the world and must be kept out of the wrong hands at all costs.
Accompanied by a new generation of allies, including a skilled archaeologist named Evelyn Hartley, played by the talented Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Indiana Jones will navigate treacherous landscapes, ancient ruins, and face ruthless adversaries in a race against time.
Harrison Ford will also be joined by colleagues John Rhys-Davies also known as Sallah, Karen Allen known as Marion, Mads Mikkelsen as Jurgen Voller, Antonio Banderas (Renaldo) and more!
The rating for this movie is PG-13 as there are sequences of violence, language, action and smoking. The total runtime for this film is 2 hours and 24 minutes.

Where can I watch Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny?
In any movie theater near you! I love going to watch my favorite movies at my local Cinemark and AMC theaters! Of course if you are in the Los Angeles area then you should go at least once to the El Capitan theater -trust me it’s a special treat.
If you find yourself in Los Angeles then you should grab your tickets at The El Capitan Theatre for June 29, 2023 where you can see all of the artifacts and relics from the film and enjoy some special photo ops! If you are going as a family you can get the $100 package that includes 4 reserved seats, with 4 small popcorns, 4 beverages, and parking pass.
