Get ready for an adventure as Disney and Pixar join forces once again to bring us a brand new animated movie: Elemental. This will be released in theaters on June 15, 2023. Here is everything we know so far about Elemental.
What is Pixar’s Elemental movie about?
The stage is set for us to view what happens when the elements mix! The main characters appear to be Ember Lumia (Fire) played by Leah Lewis and Wade Ripple (Water) played by Mamoudou Athie. From the trailers I’ve seen it appears as though these two characters spark some romance and that these spirited elemental beings are set out to embark on a quest to restore balance and harmony in their city.
How long is Elemental and what is the rating?
As a film designed for the whole family, Elemental has received a PG rating. Pixar has a reputation for creating films that resonate with both children and adults, striking a delicate balance between humor, emotion, and life lessons but many of the reviews have not been all that positive.
On social media, I have seen many people comment that this movie is giving the energy of a type of Zootopia or Inside Out. I would agree in light of seeing the design of the characters, the color scheme and the fact that the location is based on a city. If Elemental is anything like these two movies I will be very happy because I love those! Elemental has a runtime of 1 hour and 43 minutes.
Don’t miss out on the previews before the movie because Pixar is doing a special short called Carl’s Date that will debut only in theaters when watching Elemental! This Pixar short is based on Carl getting assistance from the beloved dog Dug when he re-enters the dating world. Are there any special events happening at Disney for Elemental?
For a limited time, Disney has given fans a chance to see a water short over at Disney California Adventure park for Elemental before the World of Color One show. This began this month on June 2, 2023 but no end date has been provided. This water short gives viewers the chance to see “brilliant projections dance across vast water screens in this two-minute pre-show, bringing the land, air, water and fire residents of Element City to life.”
